London; Monday, 18th February, 2019: Treasury Management Systems specialist Salmon Software has strengthened its UK management team with the appointment of industry veteran Steve Canning as business development director. He was formerly head of corporate sales at trading platform provider 360T. Prior to that he worked with a French TMS provider and has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services market, the bulk of it in treasury.

Commenting on his appointment Steve Canning said, “I have observed Salmon Software over the years and have been hugely impressed with its focus and approach to the TMS market. In particular, because it is independent, Salmon is very agile when responding to market changes and customer requirements.

“Its commitment to R&D, financial instrument coverage, flexible range of sophisticated functionality and track record in successful implementation and support makes it the perfect choice for today’s under pressure corporate treasurers.

“Having worked alongside Salmon during my 360T days, integrating the platform to the Salmon Treasurer TMS, I experienced first-hand, Salmon’s ability to integrate seamlessly with 360T and other third party systems through its very sophisticated integration toolkit. It facilitates reading and parsing any file type and offers data enrichment for both inbound trades and outbound orders.”

He added, “In my former role I spoke to many corporates and the feedback on Salmon was never less than impressive. I’m really looking forward to bringing its capabilities to a wider audience.”
