VILNIUS - June 15, 2020 - Paytend Europe, the global Fin Tech company, has announced the launch of all-in-one smart POS, APOS A8, and Paytend POS app for merchants in Europe. It allows merchants to accept both contactless and traditional card-based payments. Customers can speed up the checkout by tapping their phones, chipping and swiping their cards.

Since Paytend is a member of VISA, Master and China Union Pay, it accepts all three types of cards in its acquiring services. Besides, the smart POS also supports new payment methods like WeChat Pay and Alipay, aiming to provide convenience for Asian customers. For European sellers angling to break into the Chinese marketplace, the solution is appealing to expand their customer base and facilitate their business service.

Retailers can benefit from wide functionalities and high-efficiency of the Smart POS and app. Businesses gain the ability to not only manage transactions, but also accept a range of payment options at pop-up shops, events, or in permanent stores.

“Our mission is to make easier transactions anywhere and anytime,”said Laimonas Žmuidinavičius, CEO of Paytend. “This launch is just a beginning for us to enter merchant acquiring market in Europe. In the next several years, we will have more of new entrants leverage technology to better serve our clients.”

Paytend’s services coming to Europe lets payments easy and secure, offering an ideal digital solution at every touchpoint. The smart POS costs €399 and is now available on Paytend POS app for pre-order. After downloading the app, sellers can activate their smart POS by themselves, with no need for going to bank. The app is free to use, with credit card rates starting at 0.5 percent with no per purchase fee.
